Just went to a lecture by John Tonkin which made me think I should put some of my art-squibs up. Accordingly, Leaf from October 2005.
I am an Art Impresario
Last week I bought a painting. I saw it at an opening and fell in love immediately. I got myself introduced to the artist (Naomi Greschke: I encourage everyone to buy her work and make her famous) and a few days later the deal was done. The image below is only proximately representative:

It’s quite liberating to buy something which has pretty much no discernible use whatsoever – except to make you happy, and what can be better than that?
